STEP 1

The Korean investment company confirms classification to KOTRA as ‘Foreign Investment Corporation’.  This process is the foreign investment reporting that reports the investment.

STEP 2

The investor register a Korean bank account and remits at least $300K. The investor will be registered as co-representative in the business registration certificate owning 10% or 10/100 stocks.

STEP 3

The copy of joint business registration indicating joint business operation and the joint business agreement shall be generated. And the transfer of paid-up capital to the corporate account shall proceed.

STEP 4

The invesment company prepares documents for the visa application of the investor- investment application form, foreign investment company registration certificate, bank remittance and transfer certificates, documents provideing capital use, documents providing existence of business and other documents required during screening.

STEP 5

Submission of application, visa processing and visa issuance takes around 90-100 days. Detailed screening may take additional 30 days. D-8 visas are valid 3 years and are extendable. We help you with visa extension. D8 visa is also eligible for application permanent residency after at least 5 years of stay and additional investment.

STEP 5

If visa is issued, we help you relocate to Korea. We also assist you in the process of issuance of Alien Registration Card. If visa is denied, we will inititiate return of funds to your home country.
